Today I am sharing a message on the God who sees you. Now, this is an encouragement for the moments when you feel overlooked and maybe even unwanted. Truth is, there are few pains as quiet and as heavy as the feeling of being overlooked. It happens in crowded rooms, in relationships, in churches, at work, or even inside our own homes. We can serve faithfully, love deeply, give generously, and still feel invisible. But scripture offers a beautiful truth that speaks right into that hidden ache. God sees you. That's right. He sees you fully, clearly, and tenderly and constantly. The truth echoes powerfully through the story of Hagar. She was a woman pushed to the margins, mistreated, used, and dismissed. Yet in her lowest moment, she encountered something life-changing. It was not a solution at first, but a God who truly saw her. In Genesis 16, 13, she calls God Elroi, which means the God who sees me. That name still speaks today. The truth that has always been is that God sees what others miss. People may overlook your effort, your kindness, your resilience, your heartbreak, or your faithfulness, but God doesn't miss a single detail. Psalms 139 reminds us that God knows us intimately. And it says of God, you have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You are familiar with all my ways. Dear one, you are not unseen. You are not forgotten. God sees the tears you cried when no one asked how you were doing. He sees the strength you used to carry others while your own heart was weary and worn. He also sees the silent battles you never voiced. Being seen by God means you matter, even when others don't acknowledge your worth. When God sees your pain, he moves towards you. When Hagar ran into the wilderness, she expected isolation. But God pursued her. He also stated in Psalms 56:8 when he said, You keep track of all my sorrows. Friend, your pain is not invisible to God. Your story has not slipped through his fingers. He watches, he listens, and he draws near. In those times when you feel hidden, God sees you. There are seasons when God calls us to serve quietly, love faithfully, and walk humbly without applause or affirmation. That lack of recognition can sting, but heaven sees what earth overlooks. Jesus said in Matthew chapter 6, verse 4, that the Father rewards what is done in secret. That is so encouraging and reminds us that nothing done in love is ever wasted. When we choose forgiveness, we keep praying. And when we continue to serve or when we stay obedient even when no one notices, God sees it all. Better yet, God honors it. To be seen by God is not passive. It means you are watched over, protected, cherished, held, and known by God intimately. Psalm 3318 reminds us that the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him. And Psalms 34:18 adds, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. God does more than notice you. You are loved. There will be moments in life when people fail you, forget you, or overlook your contributions, but God never will. His eyes are always on you, not to criticize, but to show care. Not to judge, but to love, not to distance himself, but to walk beside you. Whether you feel invisible, undervalued, or unheard today, remind your heart of this eternal truth. The God who sees Hagar sees you. The God who saw David sees you. The God who sees every sparrow sees you. You are seen, you are known, and you are deeply loved. Selah.
